R.I.P. Jigme Norbu

For those who haven’t read/seen the news, Jigme Norbu, the nephew of the Dalai Lama, was struck and killed by an SUV on the first day of his most recent Walk for Tibet in Florida last night. He was such an inspiration and truly a good man.

This hit doubly hard for me because I was lucky to know this man in person and to chat with him on a regular basis. He owned the building that my tattoo studio is in, so I talked to him every month about rental matters, but also about personal matters.

Jigme had a good heart, and everyone is sure he would want the cause to fight on, it wasn’t for him : it was for his father and his people.

Rest in Peace, Jigme, you were taken too soon, but you left such a big mark on this world.
