Acrylics on Canvas, 30″x40″
For numerous reasons, I don’t talk much with people about politics. I’m better at expressing myself through art rather than discussion, and while not an obvious portrayal, this painting, to me, represents a beautiful thing being ruined by politics and/or religious extremism. The gay marriage “issue” is the main thought that sparked this, but it covers other areas as well. Politics and religion get involved in something as beautiful as LOVE, and try to separate right and wrong, and that divide can turn into an ugly thing.
