Illustration Friday topic this week was vacation. I struggled with ideas for this week because, well, I haven’t been on a vacation in a long time! My mom is planning a cruise for her, me and my sister sometime soon, but I have obviously yet to go. I contemplated what I would want to do, or would consider, to be a vacation. About that time, my son can screaming through the room singing Little Einsteins, as I stared at the pile of books I want to re-read. Then it occurred to me that I’d love a day of quiet, a bottle of wine, and time to read some books and watch some of my favorite shows. Thus, I had my idea.
Additionally, I’ve made a little more progress on my drawing challenge. I am glad that I committed myself to finishing it, not necessarily daily.
Day 12: recent accomplishment – I illustrated a story for a friend of mine (Kylie’s Favorite Book), and I’ve also done work on another big project that is still under wraps.
Day 13: Comic – decided to bypass drawing a comic and just drew a grown up version of one of my favorite comics.
Day 14: Favorite fairytale – The Ugly Duckling. Moral : be who you are and don’t let others make you feel bad for being different! Also, the ink wash made the goose look like he has a punk mohawk, which is pretty awesome.
Day 15: Family Picture – messed up early on so I decided to do an eye study!
Day 16: Inspiration – there is so much, haha. Of course I realize I made myself look super angry. Ah well.
Until next time!
